Indication Tool (Default Win + Z)

On keypress, copies the “Indication” field of the patient currently open on IMPAX, and pastes into PowerScribe One (PSO).

PSO must be open, but needn't be active nor visible. It will paste wherever your caret is. This is only useful at sites with digital requisitons.

OCR (Default Win + A)

Text recognition tool. Takes a screenshot of text, and pastes it into your PSO report. On keypress, starts the OCR UI. Draw a box (click and drag) around the text of interest.

This feature is experimental. Its intended use is with typed, faxed and scanned requisitions that can't be directly copied from. It uses Windows' older OCR (Windows.Media.OCR) given its accessibility, however it can be inaccurate at times, particularly with serif fonts. The OCR tool does a poor job with handwritten text.

Slice Tool (Default Win + C)

On keypress, copies the series and image number of the currently hovered image on IMPAX, and pastes into PSO. To capture a range of slices, hold down on the hotkey, scroll through your range of interest and release the hotkey.

The script will paste the slices on which you pressed and released the hotkey, regardless of what slices were scrolled through. Similar to the indication tool, PSO needn’t be active to paste it into your report.

There’s a known issue where pasted slice number will sometimes show up in a new line. This has to do with how PSO handles pasting during dictation and there is not yet a fix.

History Lookup Tool (Default Win + X)

On keypress, looks up the prior studies of the patient currently open on IMPAX. It does this in a similar way to RadCase. This uses the patient’s first and last name and date of birth, and selects Enterprise.
